LOVE PROJECT WORKSHOP,
The beginning:
The Workshop was started by my very good friend Lizna Snyman who out of her love for God wanted to share her skills and minister to hearts.
She designed all the products we have now and sowed beautiful seeds of love in many ladies lives. She managed the project for almost 2 years but has now decided after she found out she and her husband is expecting a baby to stop working full time in the project.
So she handed over all the responsibilities to me and we moved the project to Vredendal.
In Vredendal we are collaborating with an excisting project Dorkas. Who works with HIV and TB patients. They have a sewing workshop and we will be stitching and making out products together with them.
Where the projects will grow to … is all in God’s hands…but I am very excited to start a workshop here in Vredendal.
Mission statement of the Workshop:
Love Project Workshop, is a non-profit organization aiming to develop unemployed men, woman and youth from previous disadvantaged backgrounds through skills training, job creation and ministering based on Christian principals and beliefs.
We aim to create sustainable employment by:
- designing,
- producing and
- selling innovative,
- export quality hand crafted products and
- incorporating life – and business skill training
- and Christian counseling into the workplace with the help of skilled and knowledgeable volunteers.
We also aim to:
- assist already established protective workshops, artists and community projects who are in need of creative input by providing new design ideas or redesigning existing projects to make it more attractive to discerning markets by keeping it relevant and up-to-date.”
